The Team Culture The Marketing team is responsible for all aspects of the Jellysmack brand image. On any given day, the marketing team will be overseeing website development for a new product, creating materials to help sign new creator partners, securing exclusive news stories with top publishing outlets, sponsoring an industry panel at a creator conference, shooting a new brand campaign, putting together media plans, organizing exciting milestone gifts for our partners, and engaging with our community on social (and that’s just before lunch). We work cross-functionally across the organization which means we get to communicate with teams from France in the morning, Australia in the evening, and everyone else in between. The Role We aim at building the 1 video editing marketplace in the world and revolutionize the way video editors work. Jellysmack is looking for a great, technically-oriented Marketing Manager to develop and execute highly effective go-to-market plans for existing and new Jellysmack”s Marketplace products, services, and brand. Your role is to drive awareness, excitement and engagement with our products/services through strategic marketing initiatives that foster strong relationships with customers and anticipate trends in our technological environment. We’re looking for an energetic, motivated self-starter that has a passion for technology, marketing, and social media, and can translate the capabilities of a technology solution into sales messaging and positioning. This position requires a unique combination of strong technical, marketing and program management skills along with a deep knowledge of and passion for the creator economy. The ideal candidate will be able to move seamlessly between business, operations, highly-technical product, engineering and data teams, as well as strategic and creative marketing, design and sales teams to translate complex business ideas into plans that deliver results. Requirements The Responsibilities As a Marketing Manager - Marketplace at Jellysmack, you sit strategically between business & operations, marketing, product technology, sales, and customer success to generate awareness of and interest in Jellysmack’s Marketplace products, services, and brand. Your key responsibilities include: Develop go-to-market strategies, launch plans, and measurement strategies for existing and next generation marketplace services with the aim of driving demand and ensuring retention and loyalty. Support the Operations, Marketing, and Product organizations in the creation of brand and product strategy, positioning, and value propositions. Serve as the voice of the consumer and ensure the delivery of customer-centric products that fill a true user need. Craft go-to-market launch plans to drive awareness of new marketplace services and brand, including digital media plans, social outreach campaigns, event marketing strategies, emails/newsletters, trade shows/conferences, sponsorship programs and PR campaigns in partnership with Marketing, Sales, Events, and PR teams evangelizing product benefits and value Study the competition, our customers, and solutions to optimize product-market fit. Translate and articulate technology messages and concepts into consumer and partner-friendly principles. Understand what the customer values, needs, and wants through consumer insights research and quantitative analysis; Translate analyses into actionable strategies. Lead strategy, execution, and post launch analysis of go-to-market campaigns aligning to product roadmap and company objectives. Ensure internal organization readiness for each product marketing launch. Build and manage external relationships with our user base; Maintain regular cadence of communication for feedback, input, and updates. The Qualifications You are highly strategic and passionate about the intersection of marketing, technology, and the creator economy. Familiarity with video production is beneficial, but not required. You have contagious enthusiasm for product and marketing, and a commitment to excellence in turning new ideas into business successes. You are eager to learn and apply insights from all aspects of the business and are a key stakeholder in the success or failure of new products and services. You are highly organized and know how to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders. You are capable of taking an abstract idea, designing it out, building a plan, and delivering on the details of that plan. You effectively manage competing priorities to create actionable plans that get the most impactful work done. You are a self-starter who rolls up their sleeves and jumps on opportunities when you see them. You are data driven with a desire to constantly improve. You exhibit remarkable attention to detail, work efficiently - and do all of this with humility and a sense of humor. Technical Experience B.A./B.S. in business, marketing, product marketing, product management, or a related field. 6 years of proven experience in a product marketing role preferably in the high-tech, video production, or social media industries. Experience launching new high-tech products and communicating their benefits; DTC marketing and product experience is highly valued. Demonstrated history of managing complex projects and executing on marketing plans. Experience in conducting and applying market analysis, developing market messaging, and communicating product benefits. Experience and passion for creating high quality marketing material to drive demand for novel technology that improves client outcomes. Proven project management skills with strong attention to detail. Experience collaborating with cross-functional and highly technical partners as well as key decision makers. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
