These include infrastructural, domestic, medical-technical and administrative services, technical building and equipment management as well as medical assistance. In a concept that is unique in Germany, the Ammerland Clinic forms the Westerstede Clinic Center together with the Bundeswehr Hospital Westerstede. Here, around 2,000 employees are committed to serving people from the region and far beyond the district's borders. The 12-strong team in the IT department supports around 2,300 users, including from the Ammerland Clinic and the Bundeswehr Hospital Westerstede. This includes 1,200 Windows clients, 200 mobile clients and 400 virtual servers (Linux and Windows).
