We are looking for an Import Specialist M/F to join our team in Rungis, France on a contract basis for 6 months.
As an Import Specialist at Westfalia Fruit, you will play a key role in ensuring cost management and the proper use of resources.
You will report directly to the Upstream Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities Include: Develop cost estimation models for imports and create dashboards for tracking costs throughout the season.
Establish and monitor budgets for imports, ensuring appropriate provisions and reserves are allocated.
Identify cost risks and implement procedures to manage unexpected charges.
Track and analyze budgetary changes for each import, adjusting purchase prices or credit notes as needed.
Allocate and manage supplier invoices, ensuring timely receipt and proper cost distribution.
Monitor subcontracting and compliance costs, generating reports to track expenditures.
Identify and explain cost variances, comparing planned vs.
actual expenses.
Support D365 ERP implementation, validating cost calculations and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Develop templates for supplier/product cost loads, ensuring consistency in financial tracking.
Propose corrective actions for budget overruns and unplanned future costs.
Requirements Essential Previous experience as a Import Specialist, with Container specific experience.
Graduate of a Master's degree in Management Control or an accounting degree Fluency in French and English (mother tongue/C1-C2) Adaptable, anticipatory and creative Willingness to create and structure new things and strength of proposal Strong computer skills (MS Office suite, including EXCEL) Strong accounting and financial skills, analytical skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teams Desirable Experience in the food industry or in the fresh produce sector would be an asset, but is not essential.
Experience with DYNAMICS 365 would be a plus Benefits 25 days of vacation, plus public holidays.
