About the Business/Function
Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travelers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Hotel Booking for series and charter tours
Identify on a daily basis the priority of pending bookings
Communication of booking updates on a regular basis to the purchasing manager
Best possible conditions for all bookings
Confirm and send out clear information about hotel conditions to the sales offices
Update the operation system with all the relevant rates and information
Report hotel complaints and problems to the managers
Establish best possible relations with reservation departments in hotels
Bookings for site inspection – study tour – promotional groups
Revenue management & development
Confirming group bookings and series within the budgets required, in written
Ensure best conditions and rates in line with the guidelines agreed upon by the local purchasing units
Support the purchasing managers to obtain additional override commission deals with key suppliers
Maintain a high on-budget confirmation ratio, increase revenue performance
Support the purchasing team with all the hotel related information
To succeed in this role, you should have
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Solid computer skills (Internet Browser)
Experience in tourism, travel industry
English and German language skills, both oral and written
